Check this out! 'Garbage In, Garbage Out' 'The piece is really funny and I'm not sure if it is meant as a serious attempt to explain polls or not. Maybe if the writer is a liberal it was meant to be a serious piece. I think the writer came across my 'Poll On Politics' online poll and thought it fit nicely for his criticism of polls which are usually misleading and biased.
The writer of "Garbage In, Garbage Out" points out that polls are biased by the one taking the poll. Most polls done by the liberal media are slanted to give answers that they want and also done to create their own news. They say the polls are scientifically done as if they are unbiased and as if they represent what the people think. When the liberals want to push a particular agenda they run polls to make it appear that there is a crises that needs government legislation to correct; legislation pushed by the liberals/Democrats and the liberal media.
The writer of the piece on my 'Poll on Politics' says one problem with it is that the poll is linked to a conservative web site and the results are strongly of conservative opinions. Why is that a problem for the writer? Does he think that conservative views shouldn't be heard and that only the liberal media can link to their biased polls?
The writer also complains about the poll asking "what is the most important issue Bush should promote" and says the answer is only what I think. But there are 4 different, distinct answers, that someone could give. (my favorite is not pointed out)
Another complaint is that there aren't enough choices on the gun issue. The gun rights poll is based on the politics of the issue, the two main positions of liberals and conservatives. (The online poll is called, "Poll On Politics")
After complaining about loaded polls and a letter left out of a word; the writer says he will "sum up with a loaded poll" of his own about his view of web polls and also misspells his A answer. (and later corrected)
A serious and interesting article would be about biased polls taken by the liberal media, which are taken over the phone, asked of uninformed people, who are stopping what they are doing to answer, on subjects they are not experts in; and yet the pollsters claim are scientific and represent the views of the people.

-Follow up to the article-
The writer or the article says, "Visit 'Poll on Politics' to read TomG's unintentionally humorous response to this article." It seems the writer really is making a serious attempt to explain biased polls, saying, "It sure as heck is a problem if you're trying to portray your poll as a general "Poll on Politics," with a picture of a donkey on one side and an picture of an elephant on the other." It seems the writer doesn't get the difference of a poll claimed to be "scientific" run by the liberal media and a "poll on politics" that is offered here. The writer reviews "TomG's Latest 'Scientific' Poll...", adding the word "scientific" for effect. So much for the writers biased attempt to explain bias. 'Garbage In, Garbage Out' piece is really funny!
